What You’ll Do

We are growing the capability within our Digital Assets, Enterprise Technology and Cyber Security team. As the Geospatial Manager , you will be responsible for leading Queensland Hydro’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Digital Engineering (DE) functions, Geospatial Services, as the organisation transitions from planning into project delivery. You will provide visible and strategic leadership whilst overseeing the delivery of integrated digital solutions. Reporting to the Head of Digital Assets, Enterprise Technology and Cyber Security , you will establish consistent standards, processes and controls and work closely with project teams, delivery partners and business stakeholders to ensure digital requirements are embedded throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for building, mentoring and leading high-performing specialist teams that deliver reliable and responsive services. As the Geospatial Manager, you will ensure GIS and Digital Engineering operate as a coordinated and strategically aligned function.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Lead the Geospatial Services function, incorporating both GIS and Digital Engineering.
- Establish and mature the Geospatial Services operating model,



ensuring GIS and Digital Engineering operate as an integrated enterprise capability.
- Provide enterprise leadership for site-based Geospatial Services, ensuring field teams, construction readiness, land access, environmental activities, safety planning and operational decision-making are supported by accurate GIS, Digital Engineering and location-based information.
- Lead the integration of GIS, Digital Engineering, land, environmental, infrastructure and asset information into Queensland Hydro’s broader enterprise data workplace, including the data warehouse, reporting platforms and AI-enabled decision support.
- Partner with the AI, data, ICT and business teams to identify opportunities where GIS and Digital Engineering data can improve predictive insights, approvals tracking, field intelligence, environmental monitoring, asset planning, construction visibility and operational performance.

Who You Are

To be successful in this position, you will have professional accreditation for Project Management (PMBOK / Agile) and be ISO19650 accredited. Your extensive knowledge of enterprise GIS, Digital Engineering, BIM, digital twins and spatial data integration across major infrastructure project and asset lifecycles will ensure that you meet business requirements.

- Strong strategic leadership and commercial acumen, with the ability to develop operating models, investment cases, technology roadmaps and measurable business outcomes.




- Advanced governance and assurance capability across digital information, data ownership, standards, quality, interoperability, cyber security and delivery partner obligations.
- Highly developed stakeholder and people leadership skills, with proven success influencing executives, leading multidisciplinary teams and building high-performing specialist capability.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise GIS, Digital Engineering, BIM, digital twins and spatial data integration across major infrastructure projects and asset lifecycles.
- Professional accreditation in Project Management (PMBOK / Agile) and ISO19650 accreditation.
