About the role

In the vacation student metallurgy role, gain hands‑on experience supporting gold processing and plant performance activities across the operation. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that help optimise gold recovery, improve plant efficiency and support production outcomes.

Some of your work may include:

- Assist with process monitoring and plant performance analysis.
- Support metallurgical test work and sample collection activities.
- Analyse processing data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to plant optimisation and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist with metallurgical reporting and documentation.
- Work with operational teams to improve gold recovery and processing performance.

Program locations

Northparkes Operations, NSW

One of Australia's most technically advanced mining operations, featuring block cave, sub‑level cave and open pit mining.

5:2/4:3

Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

Cowal Gold Operations, NSW

A major gold operation near West Wyalong, with open pit and processing all on one site, theoperational diversityis ideal foruplifting careers.

Ernest Henry Operations, QLD

Ernest Henry is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio. It has high‑quality equipment,high standardsandgreat management team. Live local in the close‑knit community of Cloncurry.
