Your opportunity

As Team Leader, Library Education and Research, you will lead librarians in delivering academic outreach, building strong stakeholder partnerships, and ensuring library services effectively support the needs of University students, academics and researchers. Leading a team of six librarians, you will provide confident, people-focused leadership in a University library workplace, while driving innovation and continuous improvement under the guidance of your Manager, Library Academic Services.

You will make an impact by:

- Leading and supporting a team of librarians to deliver high-quality education, research and academic outreach services
- Building trusted relationships with colleagues, faculties, academics, researchers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective library services
- Coordinating day-to-day academic outreach services across campuses and virtual channels,



using data and evidence to evaluate and improve service delivery
- Negotiate and resolve complex disputes or problems with clients related to service area functions and operations

What You Will Bring

You are an experienced library professional who understands the role libraries play in supporting teaching, learning and research. You bring the confidence to lead people, make decisions and navigate complex conversations, while building a positive team culture where expertise is recognised, collaboration is valued and people are encouraged to contribute.

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

- A relevant degree-level qualification or above, with experience in a university or research library environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support and develop people, manage performance and foster a culture of quality service and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building relationships across diverse groups and managing projects
- Current knowledge of library practices, technologies and emerging trends supporting research, teaching and learning in Australian higher education

Your opportunity is:

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities
- HEW Level 7. The base salary ranges from $108,361 - $117,660 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $137,662.
