Play Worker (Holiday Club)
Would you like to earn during the school holidays whilst working in a fun and exciting environment?
The Job
- To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children from 3-12 years of age
- To work as part of a team in order to provide a secure environment and exciting activities for the children. Duties will include setting up and arranging equipment ready for activities, running activities with the children and tidying up afterwards
- To give support to the other team members within the facility and to follow the instructions of the management team
- To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, good practice, club policies and procedures
- To promote the high standards of the club at all times to parents, staff and visitors
Responsible to: Play Leader/Club Manager
The Commitment
This role is available Monday-Friday during school holidays, excluding bank holidays, from 8am-6pm per day. Flexible working hours are offered to suit your availability
Salary And Benefits
- Students 17: GBP7.55
- Play worker 18+: GBP10 -GBP13 per hour depending on experience
- Free childcare for your own children aged 3-12
Who are we looking for?
Someone who loves to see children of all ages enjoying different activities and having fun. You'll be friendly, approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work closely with the management team to ensure that the club organization and administration is of the highest quality.
You will be good at using your initiative and always thinking one step ahead.
Qualifications
- Childcare experience (Essential)
- Relevant childcare qualification Level 2 and or Level 3 (Essential)
- Paediatric First Aid certificate (Preferred)
- Relevant certificates such as safeguarding etc (Preferred)
We are committed to safeguarding; all staff will be required to have a DBS check and references before starting.
Specific Fun Fest Holiday Club training will be provided to successful candidates.
About Fun Fest Bromley
Fun fest holiday club is different from other clubs as we offer children the choice to how their holiday is spent. There is a menu of activities for the children to choose from for their morning and afternoon sessions which are all done on the website. Fun Fest is Ofsted registered and run by fully qualified, enthusiastic and experienced staff with a passion for childcare. Fun Fest staff create an energetic, fun atmosphere whilst remaining balanced in a secure and controlled environment. The priority of Fun Fest is to make sure the children are safe, cared for and most importantly that they have fun as children's choice is key.
