We are looking for a proactive, leadership-driven Drafting Manager who shares our vision and passion for excellence.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will lead, support, and oversee our energetic local team of five and overseas drafting team of two. You will ensure that all day-to-day operations run smoothly, KPIs are smashed, and our strict quality and compliance standards are maintained.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance team management, technical guidance, and active drafting to keep our pre-construction pipeline moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision: Coordinate, mentor, and supervise both local and overseas drafting team members, providing training and technical support.

Compliance & Quality: Ensure all preliminary, planning, and working drawings strictly comply with the NCC, R-Codes, shire policies, and developer covenants for seamless council submissions.

Process Improvement: Assist the company in detailing and implementing new building procedures and maintaining up-to-date documentation.

Collaboration:



Partner with our admin and pre-construction teams to meet customer service and lead-time expectations. Liaise with engineers, energy assessors, and surveyors to compile timely data for CDC submissions.

Drafting Excellence: Produce and amend accurate preliminary, planning, and contract working drawings without assumption.

Skills & Experience Required

- A profound understanding of single and double-storey Western Australian domestic building construction is essential.

- Demonstrated high-level ability using Archicad.

- A pragmatic leader with a "can-do" attitude, capable of solving complex structural or design problems and overcoming barriers.

- A Certificate or Diploma in Drafting is preferred; however, equivalent substantial industry experience in a residential house construction drawing office will be highly regarded.

- Self-motivated, honest, reliable, and capable of working autonomously while fostering a positive team culture.
