About the Role

At Catalyst, our Finance and Commercial team plays a key role in supporting the operational and strategic performance of the business. This is a site-based role where financial accuracy, reporting integrity and strong operational engagement are critical to ensuring informed decision-making across the operation.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Site Accountant will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely month end processes, cost reporting, budgeting support and forecasting activities. You will work closely with site leaders across Mining, Processing, Maintenance and Administration to provide meaningful financial insight and support cost control initiatives.

This is an exciting time to join Catalyst Metals as the operation continues to expand towards multiple new mining areas and increased production output. The role offers strong exposure to operational decision-making in a growing underground gold business, where your work directly contributes to performance improvement and financial outcomes.

As Catalyst continues its growth towards 2.2 million tonnes per annum, this role provides the opportunity to develop strong operational finance capability within a dynamic and evolving mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the month end close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all site accounting activities

- Prepare month end cost reports and support variance analysis across operational departments

- Provide financial insight into key cost drivers and support continuous cost control and performance improvement initiatives

- Maintain and update capital project registers and support capital expenditure approvals

- Support site leaders with budgeting and forecasting processes

- Provide guidance and support to operational personnel in relation to Pronto and cost coding accuracy

- Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements





- Support compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls

- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial integrity

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting major or equivalent)

- CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the resources or mining industry

- Strong working knowledge of Pronto ERP system (essential)

- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with operational stakeholders

- Solid organisational skills and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
