About the roleThe Australian Dataspaces Program represents a strategic partnership between the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) and Federation University.
The Program Manager, Dataspaces Australia is a national leadership role focusing on translating the Dataspaces paradigm into a practical, implementable national program directly supporting Australia's strategic digital ambitions, such as those outlined in Ambitious Australia.
You will lead the development and delivery of sectoral Dataspaces programs, including earth and environmental and agriculture portfolios, oversee multiple interdependent projects and coordinate contributions from geographically distributed teams and specialist expertise.
You will:lead, design, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the national-scale Australian Dataspaces program;lead the strategic direction and governance of the Australian Dataspaces program;identify and manage interactions between the Dataspaces program, Federation University priorities and ARDC programs of work across the Strategic Pillars; andbuild and maintain engagement with national and international Dataspaces communities.
About youYou will have demonstrated extensive experience co-designing and delivering national digital research infrastructure programs, supported by deep data and infrastructure expertise. Experience supporting earth and environmental science, agriculture or data-intensive domains will be highly regarded. In addition,
you will possess high level planning and organisational skills, with experience in designing and leading the delivery of national large-scale, data-oriented programs with multiple stakeholders and projects.
You will possess demonstrated:understanding of research and development processes, and the complexities involved in supporting research;specialist knowledge in an area of national digital research infrastructure, large-scale data systems or platforms, particularly within earth and environmental science, agriculture or related disciplines;high-level program and project management experience, with a proven record of leading institutional changes; andcapability in leading solid and high performing multi-disciplinary teams, encouraging professionalism, innovation and continuous improvement.
