Company Description Polaris Engineering Services Pty Ltd operates from a 24,800 square metre, first-class fabrication facility in the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, WA, with excellent access to major transport links. The site includes enclosed workshops with overhead cranes, open assembly and laydown areas, external gantry cranes, and a large enclosed painting and blasting facility. Role Description This is a casual with future fulltime opportunity, on-site Boilermaker role based in Perth, WA. The Boilermaker will perform heavy steel fabrication, cutting, shaping, and assembling structural and mechanical components in line with engineering drawings and project specifications. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, operating welding and cutting equipment, fitting and assembling fabricated sections, and conducting quality checks to ensure work meets company and client standards. The role involves working within workshop and yard environments, collaborating closely with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to meet project deadlines. The Boilermaker will also be expected to follow all safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment,



and contribute to continuous improvement in fabrication processes.QualificationsStrong metal fabrication skills, including cutting, forming, fitting, and assembling structural and mechanical components.Proficiency in welding processes such as Welding and TIG Welding for heavy fabrication and structural work.Experience using Oxy-acetylene equipment for cutting, heating, and preparation of steel materials.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications accurately.Recognized trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator or equivalent certification.Demonstrated experience in workshop-based heavy fabrication, ideally within oil and gas, mining, or industrial sectors.Robust commitment to workplace health and safety, including safe operation of lifting equipment and power tools.Good communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and reliability in meeting project timelines.Experience working to ISO 9001 or similar quality systems and familiarity with quality assurance processes is beneficial.
