About Techworks
Founded in 2013, Techworks Group has grown to over 120 employees and is proud to be a leading commercial electrical and plumbing contractor in WA. We are powered by problem solvers, delivering safe, quality end-to-end solutions for our clients, and our vision is to be the provider and employer of choice in our sector.
Our Plumbing Projects division delivers a broad range of recent construction and fitout works across WA, working with government and private clients on projects including childcare centres, fast food and retail developments, shopping centres, and bar and hospitality fitouts. We have a strong pipeline of secured work and a team that takes real pride in delivering to the standard our clients expect.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Project Manager to take ownership of project delivery across our commercial construction portfolio. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, from childcare centres to retail fitouts, and who takes pride in running a project to handover.
Why join Techworks
- More Than a Job, a Future: A steady, long-term role with a positive mental health culture, plus company-paid parental leave.
- Plenty in the Pipeline: A secured pipeline of commercial work already in place, spanning childcare, retail, hospitality and government projects.
- Backed by the Best Systems: ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 certified, with Safeworks wellbeing support and strong internal processes that let you focus on delivering great projects.
Key responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Manage end to end delivery of commercial plumbing construction projects, keeping programmes on track, budgets in check, and quality consistent from start to handover.
- Technical Coordination:
Read and interpret hydraulic drawings and specifications, manage RFIs, and resolve technical queries with head contractors, consultants, and design teams.
- Site & Trade Management: Coordinate trades, apprentices, and subcontractors across active projects, managing daily deployment, materials procurement, and site access requirements.
- Commercial Management: Prepare and submit quotations and variations, track costs and margins, and oversee invoicing milestones with the project coordinator.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Run site meetings and manage head contractor and client relationships directly, ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are met across your project portfolio.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor your trades team on site, monitoring performance, identifying training needs, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and Techworks' quality requirements.
About you
You are an experienced plumbing project manager who is confident running your own portfolio of commercial projects. You communicate directly and professionally with clients and head contractors, and your trades team knows where they stand with you.
