We are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer & Assessor to deliver the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building).

About the Role
As the Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver engaging face-to-face training and conduct competency-based assessments in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), the ESOS Framework, and Birger International College's quality management systems.
You will support students throughout their learning journey while maintaining industry relevance and ensuring compliance with national vocational education standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face classroom training for CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
- Facilitate practical learning activities and simulated workplace tasks
- Conduct competency-based assessments and provide timely feedback
- Monitor student attendance, participation and academic progress
- Provide academic mentoring and student support
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records
- Participate in assessment validation and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain current industry knowledge and vocational competency
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development
- Ensure compliance with ASQA, ESOS, CRICOS and Birger International College policies and procedures
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent recognised credential)
- Vocational qualifications relevant to Building and Construction at least to the level being delivered
- Demonstrated current industry experience within the Australian Building and Construction industry
- Current knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), WHS legislation and Australian Standards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Desirable
- Previous experience delivering CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
- Experience within an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Experience teaching international students
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Management Systems (SMS)
- Current industry memberships and ongoing professional development
