About this opportunity
This position will assist in undertaking facilities maintenance activities across Council's buildings and facilities within the Scenic Rim region.

The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.

Additionally, you’ll also …
• Undertake labour works including general carpentry, minor construction repairs and maintenance under the direction of the supervisor this includes at Community Buildings, Works Depots, Public Toilets, Council Chambers, Sporting Fields, Playgrounds, Memorials, and Houses.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors, as required, to coordinate materials, services and deliveries.
• Ensure new equipment and equipment in use is tested regularly for compliance with relevant legislation.
• Ensure complete and accurate records are captured,



created and maintained within the appropriate recordkeeping system in accordance with Council policies and procedures.

About you…
• Relevant trade qualification with experience relevant to building construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of building techniques, building maintenance, building construction, statutory regulations and maintenance manuals relevant to buildings.
• Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, including proficiency in using power and hand tools for various maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrated computer skills, numeracy and literacy skills.

What’s in it for you?
This position comes with a base remuneration from $71,379.46 working a 38hr week, 9 day fortnight and up to 13% employer superannuation contribution.
