Transmin is actively seeking a Warehouse Officer for a fixed term 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will be an organised and highly motivated individual with a minimum of 3 years warehousing experience.
About the Role
- Ability to operate a forklift safely;
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and courier vehicles;
- Booking transport contractors and couriers;
- Stocking of new and used parts as required;
- Picking and packing of parts as requested;
- Receive goods inward including processing of relevant paperwork and updating stock movements into inventory/job system
- Participation in stocktakes;
- Liaising with Sales, Engineering and Workshop staff on parts requirements.
About You
- Have a minimum of 3 years stores/warehousing experience;
- A systems orientated individual with an excellent working knowledge of warehouse practices and procedures;
- Have the ability to effectively and accurately transfer goods into and out of the warehouse, including unloading and loading vehicles and containers;
- Previous experience handling machinery parts;
- Valid forklift licence and proven experience;
- Valid C class drivers licence;
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- The ability to work unsupervised and effectively in a small team environment;
- Be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines;
- A highly organised and self motivated individual with excellent time management skills;
- A robust commitment to WH&S; policies and procedures.
