Overview

As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Carrington Residential Aged Care Home and Retirement Living Village in Parkinson. Your ability to foster strong relationships with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.

Responsibilities

- Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, plaster repairs, window and door repairs and minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance across buildings, equipment, and facilities to minimise faults, ensure compliance with aged care standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of gardens and common areas.
- Provide timely and skilled communication and assistance to residents regarding maintenance issues, repairs, installations, and other requests.
- Comply with health and safety requirements and protocols while performing maintenance activities, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications

- Experience in maintenance duties, preferably in an aged care environment.




- Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience.
- Current valid driver’s licence.
- Evidence of Australian work rights.
- Police Check & NDIS workers Screen (or willingness to obtain).
- A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role.

Availability

Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service.
