We are seeking an experienced Risk & Assurance professional to play a critical role on a major, highly confidential program. This is a unique opportunity to work across a complex, multidisciplinary program environment, helping to identify, assess and synthesise risk information across multiple project streams to support informed decision‑making and successful delivery outcomes. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance. This role also offers long‑term career development opportunities within a broader consulting business beyond a single project.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be embedded within a project risk team supporting multiple workstreams across a large-scale, secure program setting. Rather than operating solely as a traditional risk practitioner, this role requires someone who can engage deeply with technical and delivery teams, understand complex project environments, identify emerging risks and connect information across the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead risk identification, assessment and assurance activities across multiple workstreams.
- Analyse and synthesise risk information from diverse project disciplines.
- Develop consolidated risk insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Influence project outcomes through proactive risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Challenge assumptions, identify emerging risks and support effective mitigation strategies.
- Drive accountability and governance across project teams.
- Support decision‑making at program leadership level.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working within complex project, program or portfolio environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines and synthesise information into meaningful risk insights.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous and evolving environments.
- Australian citizenship is required due to Defence security clearance eligibility requirements.
- Highly desirable: Experience supporting major government programs, complex procurement environments or capability delivery.
Location
We have two opportunities available, one in Adelaide and the second one in Perth preferred. FIFO arrangements may be considered and candidates interested in relocating to Adelaide are encouraged to apply.
