We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Newcastle team. As our client portfolio grows across the resources, energy and industrial sectors, this position will help support and expand our engineering and design capabilities. This a great opportunity for a talented and passionate Engineer to be part of a supportive and cooperative team.

Our mechanical team consists of talented engineers and designers who provide a full suite of engineering services including dynamic analysis and non-linear finite element analysis (FEA), on a wide range of small and large projects. Some of our Mechanical capabilities include Bulk Materials Handling Design, Crushers, Overland Conveyors, Process Plant Equipment, Tailings Dams & Pumping Design, and NPI Equipment Design & Services.

Responsibilities

- Ability to undertake Mechanical design tasks from concept through to construction.
- Review and ensure that all work submitted by Junior Engineers are up to the codes and standards guidelines.
- Assign or delegate work with clear instructions to junior engineers with confidence when required.

Here’s what you’ll need

- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
- Knowledge of applicable mechanical and piping design standards and guidelines
- Knowledge of applicable material handling, wet processing design (preferable)
