This is a permanent part-time (0.9 FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026 Manjimup Primary School (PS) is located 290 kilometres south of Perth and currently caters for 250 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our new school facilities greatly enhance our ability to deliver teaching and learning reflective of modern teaching practises, including information and communication technologies.

The Role The School

Officer is the first point of contact for our school and is responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. The successful applicant will preferably have a friendly, positive and caring attitude, possess strong attention to detail, organisational and problem-solving skills, and work effectively within a team environment. You should be able to use initiative, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while delivering high-quality outcomes in a busy and fast-paced workplace.

Providing assistance to members of the school administration team, the School Officer helps maintain school databases, records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date. You will also assist with student enrolment procedures and operate a range of software packages; particularly databases and word processing.

The School

Officer also provides support to the Manager Corporate Services in administering the school’s marketing, financial, physical and human resources whilst upholding confidentiality and security of sensitive material. Ideally, you will possess a sound understanding of computer programs and information systems,



along with the ability to learn and adapt to recent technologies. Previous experience with Compass would be highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support, with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively. Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and /or preparing financial returns. Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.

Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
