Title: School Psychologist – (0.6FTE) – Armidale Secondary College – 0000BC53
Location: Regional NSW‑Tamworth & North West NSW (Armidale Secondary College)
Number of Positions: 1
Remuneration: Up to $182,461 plus incentives; base salary $101,122 – $160,983*
*No automatic progression to $160,983 SPAC salary level. Eligible for $20,000 recruitment bonus pro‑rated for part‑time.

Key Accountabilities
- Provides counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups, within constraints of training, experience and supervision.
- Engages with and implements the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
- Works in consultation with principal, school executive, staff and student support services to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.
- Contributes to the social, emotional and academic development of students, supporting those with complex behavioural needs.
- Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessment, reports results, collaborates to improve outcomes.
- Works collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents, carers and other agencies to develop appropriate school‑based support.
- Responds as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
- Refers students and/or families to other agencies for health and wellbeing outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy, the NSW AECG partnership and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy.
- General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC, NSW).
- Valid driver’s licence; ability to travel between work sites.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
