We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services, assist with client projects, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. You will help clients make informed decisions and play a key role in providing technical support within the firm's structure.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services while working closely with our Director and the broader team. You will be supported but also trusted to take ownership of your work and client relationships. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of complex accounting work with minimal supervision.



You'll have the chance to make a real impact on clients' businesses and play a key role in the firm's ongoing success. Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns (companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals)

Provide proactive business advisory support, including tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Assist clients with structuring, tax strategy, and growth initiatives

Support engagements across business valuations, due diligence, financial modelling, three-way forecasting, and management and board reporting

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery, leveraging cloud-based accounting technologies

Ensure compliance with current tax legislation and accounting standards

Identify process improvements and work with the team to implement more efficient ways of working

Participate in regular team and client meetings, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of client work

Liaise with clients to address queries, build strong relationships, and support their business needs.

About

You

Our ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and confident in managing client relationships across a variety of industries and business sizes. You enjoy going beyond compliance and contributing real value to business owners and executives.



You will also have:

Minimum 4–6 years' experience in public practice accounting

CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)

Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation

Experience working with clients across diverse industries and business sizes

High proficiency with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. Xero)

Exposure to or interest in valuations, financial modelling, forecasting, or management reporting (advantageous)

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Strong attention to detail and analytical capability

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities A collaborative, growth-focused mindset.
