**Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Advisor (Rail Operations Modelling) to join the Strategic Rail team. This is your chance to contribute to the future of Queensland's rail network by delivering innovative solutions that enhance connectivity, sustainability, and customer outcomes. In this role, you will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including planning for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Your expertise in rail operations, modelling, scheduling, and data analysis will help shape the state's short to mediumterm rail investment strategy. You'll be instrumental in identifying emerging travel needs, analysing operational data, and developing strategies that balance customer demands with rail system constraints.
Your responsibilities include
- Undertake rail infrastructure and operational modelling and assurance across an integrated portfolio of projects.
- Assessment and collation of the technical outputs of major rail planning projects and events, such as the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to understand the impacts and benefits for our customers.
- Analysis of operational data to support development of conceptual operational and infrastructure states
- Identify, evaluate and develop innovative rail operations modelling approaches that inform planning for new rail infrastructure, service improvements and timetable changes across the network.
Role requirements:
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- It is a condition of employment for recommended appointee/s to disclose any previous responsible discipline action taken against them for consideration by the delegate prior to any appointment.
