Senior Application Support Analyst

Intrinzic are proud to be partnering with one of Australia's best-known payments businesses in the search for a senior application support analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The systems this team looks after move money for millions of Australians around the clock, so the work matters and the standard is high. You would be joining a small, senior team that has been together a long time and knows the platform inside out. They are patient and generous with what they know, so you get a proper handover rather than being thrown in at the deep end.

What you will do

- Keep a real-time payments platform healthy, watching for problems and sorting them before customers feel anything.
- Own incidents from the first alert through to resolution, pulling in the right people and keeping everyone in the loop when something bigger is in play.
- Make sure time-critical batch and payment processing runs on schedule.
- Take your turn on the 24/7 on-call roster, which comes around roughly one week in three.
- Support releases and changes, including the occasional out-of-hours implementation.
- Keep the documentation useful, and automate the repetitive work when you spot it.

What you will need





- Solid hands-on Linux. You are comfortable working in the server day to day and can troubleshoot at the command line.
- Real application or production support experience at L2 or L3. This is not a service desk or desktop role.
- Dynatrace experience, or strong AppDynamics or Splunk and the appetite to pick up Dynatrace quickly.
- SQL you can actually write to chase down a problem.
- A track record of carrying on-call and doing it properly.
- Some grounding in certificate management.
- You are based in Sydney and happy to be in the office a couple of days a week.

If you have worked in payments, or with a scheduler like Tidal, Control-M or Autosys, even better, though it is not essential.
