This high-performing boutique firm was established by a Managing Partner who previously spent 10 years as a Litigation Partner with one of Melbourne’s major international firms. He has also been recognised in Best Lawyers for both Commercial Law and Litigation for several years running.

The firm is best known for complex Commercial Litigation, and that litigation practice is the engine room of the business. In recent years, they have run numerous matters to judgment in the Federal, Supreme, and County Courts, regularly working alongside Senior Junior Counsel and Senior Counsel on disputes valued in the 10s of millions and, at times, up to $100m.

This role has been created to free up the Managing Partner by taking over a portion of his file load and mentoring one of the Associates in the team, allowing him to focus more on broader firm growth. This would best suit a commercially minded Senior Associate who enjoys running complex matters, maintaining direct client relationships and managing litigation strategically from start to finish.

The firm has longstanding relationships with national and international corporate clients across Energy, Property, Medical & Pharma, Professional Services, Agriculture, Retail and Media,



as well as numerous high-net-worth individuals and family groups who use the firm as trusted advisers across their business interests.

The nature of the work regularly involves contractual disputes, Corporations Act and shareholder disputes, misleading and deceptive conduct and Australian Consumer Law claims, and industry-specific regulatory matters, such as planning and environment. They also handle strategic pre-litigation and ADR work, including contractual dispute resolution procedures and responses to investigations.

The team operates with a target of 5.5 billable hours per day. There is also a bonus structure for any clients or files you introduce to the firm, making this an attractive role for someone who enjoys client relationships and wants to be rewarded for contributing to the broader growth of the practice.
