Position: Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner (FT or PT)

In this role, you will collaborate directly with our Clinical Manager (an Advanced BSP & Psychologist). What the position looks like:
- Leading,
teaching and mentoring collaboratively to foster best practice in behaviour support
- Co-creating Behaviour Support Plans (Interim Behaviour Support Plans and/or Comprehensive Positive Behaviour Support Plans) in partnership with the person with a disability, and working collaboratively with their supporters and stakeholders
- Enabling person-led and centred goal achievement, enhancing valued and meaningful outcomes, and mitigating environmental concerns through evidence-based practices
- Show skills in implementation of Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with and centred around the focus person - employing data to inform supports and improve outcomes
- Growing and cultivating strong relationships with key implementers and stakeholders
- Demonstrate a commitment to reflective practice and growing your knowledge and skills in PBS in a leadership position
- Embracing and elevating the client's voice and input, promoting client satisfaction and strong outcomes.
What we are looking for?
- A BSP who is passionate about best practice
- A BSP who wants to take the next step and enjoys working with, learning from, and teaching others
- Registration as a Proficient or above Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Leadership experience or potential with a commitment to continuous learning
- An Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree
- Experience working with or supporting people with a disability across age ranges
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Very strong time management skills
- Strong ability to follow legislative requirements, policy and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
- A proactive attitude with passion for working with people with a disability
- A Driver’s Licence and own a vehicle with insurance
- NDIS Worker’s Screening Check
- Ongoing commitment to career development and learning
Desired:
- Advanced or Specialist registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Post-graduate degree in Positive Behaviour Support/Occupational Therapy/Speech and Language Pathology/Social Work/Psychology
- Registration as a Speech and Language Pathologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Teacher/Nurse/Provisional Psychologist/Psychologist or another health, disability, or allied health profession
