With continued growth across their engineering function, they are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative team working on technically challenging products used across a range of real-world applications.

About the opportunity

- Greenfield development opportunity.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting large-scale geospatial and data platforms.
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of cloud-native systems within AWS environments.
- Work closely with engineering and data teams to deliver robust platform capabilities and high-quality software solutions.
- Develop high-performance ingestion, processing, and distribution pipelines for complex datasets.
- Improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability across platform services.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers across backend, cloud,



and data disciplines.
- Work with modern technologies including Go, C#, distributed databases, search platforms, and large-scale data systems.

About you

- Strong commercial experience developing scalable software applications and backend systems.
- Backend development experience with Go, C#, or similar modern programming languages.
- Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications, ideally within AWS environments.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and scalable platform design.
- Experience working with databases, APIs, messaging systems, caching, or search technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical technical solutions.
- Comfortable contributing to technical discussions and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Exposure to geospatial, mapping, imagery, or large-scale data environments would be highly regarded.
- Experience working within Agile engineering teams.
