About the Position The Cook plays a vital role in Yumko Pty Ltd’s kitchen team, responsible for preparing authentic Korean dishes to the highest standards.

This full-time position involves setting up workstations, executing recipes with precision, and contributing to the consistent delivery of exceptional meals that uphold the restaurant’s reputation for quality and authenticity.



The Cook is essential to maintaining efficient kitchen operations and ensuring every dish meets the expectations of our valued customers. Key Responsibilities

- Setting up workstations and operating kitchen equipment
- Measuring and weighing ingredients
- Following recipes and set menus
- Deep frying, pan frying, steaming or boiling meat, vegetables and other foods
- Presenting and garnishing dishes
- Adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean workspace at all times
- Monitoring stock levels
- Keeping up with cooking techniques and methods

Requirements

- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Cook.
- Strong technical skills in Korean and general Asian cooking techniques, including frying, steaming, and precise food presentation.
- Sound knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and stock management.
- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced team environment with excellent communication and time-management skills.
