Restaurant Manager

- Amherst Sushi

A WA-based Japanese restaurant with multiple locations (Canning Vale, Noranda, Mt Hawthorn, Jandakot, Secret Harbour) operating under the Amherst Sushi brand, is seeking a manager able to work across different service locations. About Us Amherst Sushi is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Japanese restaurant locations, maintaining high standards of customer dining experience, supervising staff, coordinating stock and suppliers, and supporting the consistent operation of our restaurant business. Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant, including customer service, staff coordination and overall service flow.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, customer service, hygiene and food safety.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant service.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
- Assist with menu planning, seasonal offerings and promotional activities.
- Manage stock control, supplier communication, procurement and inventory checks.
- Recruit, train and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Prepare rosters, coordinate shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Manage POS systems, daily reconciliation,



transaction records and basic reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, workplace compliance and WHS requirements.
- Support the consistent implementation of service standards, menu updates and operational procedures across Amherst Sushi locations as reasonably required.

About You

- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Store Manager, Café Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Duty Supervisor or in a similar hospitality management role is required.
- Successful candidates will have least 3 years experience in a fast paced hospitality or food service environment.
- Robust understanding of daily restaurant operations, customer service, staff supervision, stock control and food safety requirements.
- Experience with rostering, POS systems, daily sales records, supplier communication and basic operational reporting will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication, leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a busy full-service restaurant environment.
- Experience in Japanese cuisine, sushi restaurant operations, café operations or Asian food and beverage businesses will be highly regarded.
- Multilingual communication skills and a genuine commitment to long-term full-time employment will be highly regarded.
