Civil X Pty Ltd is a growing Adelaide-based civil construction company specialising in all aspects of earthmoving and civil works. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator (Excavator/Front End Loader/Grader) & Truck Driver to join our team based in Adelaide, SA.
This role will commence as a casual position offering full-time hours (Monday to Friday, day shift), with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.
As a Machine Operator & Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in our construction operations, safely operating a range of heavy machinery and tipper trucks to support the successful delivery of civil construction projects. This is an excellent chance for a motivated and reliable individual with a passion for the construction industry to contribute to the continued growth and success of Civil X.
What you'll be doing
- Safely and efficiently operate a range of construction equipment and machinery, including excavators, loaders, and other relevant plant and tools
- Safely operate a tipper truck to transport and deliver materials and machinery.
- Perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Work collaboratively with the construction team to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety,
and environmental regulations and guidelines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and procedures
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a Machine Operator and Truck Driver, with a strong understanding of operating heavy machinery and equipment
- Current HC or HR driver's licence (HC preferred)
- Excavator and/or Skid Steer licence
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Grader experience highly regarded
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and a proven track record of following safe work practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients
