Senior Speech Pathologist | Child Development Services!

Join North West Hospital and Health Service as a Senior Speech Pathologist – Child Development Services, where you'll combine advanced clinical practice with leadership to support children with developmental differences and complex developmental delays.

About The Role

You will provide high-level clinical leadership and specialised paediatric assessment and intervention services for children with complex developmental needs.

Working within a multidisciplinary allied health team, you'll support children and families across the region through outreach, telehealth, and collaborative models of care, while guiding service improvement and workforce capability.

In This Role, You Will

Deliver advanced assessment, intervention and case management services for children with complex developmental delays and disabilities. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring and education to multidisciplinary clinicians, fostering evidence-based and high-quality practice. Lead quality improvement, research and service development initiatives that enhance outcomes for children and families.

Working with us

Eligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.Eligible health practitioners working in designated remote areas will be entitled to a career development allowance of $3,512.00 per annum.Rural and Remote incentive:



Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

Requirements

Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check; from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.A period of probation may apply.
