We are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a Mechanical Fitter Trade with a minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience and a strong trade background in mechanical fitting, boilermaking, welding, or a related construction or maintenance discipline.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising in shutdowns across FIFO and local roles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. You will provide strong on-site leadership, coordinate work crews, and drive a positive safety culture while ensuring project milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate Mechanical, Boilermakers in shutdown activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Lead and mentor site personnel, promoting a robust safety culture and high-performance work environment.

Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones and shutdown deadlines.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Monitor work progress, productivity, and resource allocation, implementing corrective actions where required.

Perform quality inspections and verify completed works meet engineering and client specifications.

Liaise with Project Managers, Superintendent, Coordinators and Clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.

Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress updates, timesheets, and project documentation.

Identify and resolve on-site issues in a timely manner to minimise delays and maximise operational efficiency.




Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Support the successful delivery of shutdown and maintenance projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Requirements

Recognized trade qualification in Boiler making, Mechanical Fitter

Minimum 5 years' experience Supervisory role.

Demonstrated experience supervising mechanical, Boilermaking, and welding works.

Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.

Thorough understanding of quality assurance, inspection requirements, and construction standards.

Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Current S26 qualification

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

Provide a National Police Clearance within 12 months or willing to obtain
