We're looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team at our new Yatala depot. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in establishing and growing the mechanical function within a new location, where your experience, initiative and leadership will make a real impact.

Working on a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles, you'll enjoy the autonomy to make decisions, support apprentices, and help drive workshop excellence while being backed by a business that continues to invest in its people, equipment and network.

What You'll Be Doing

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of heavy vehicles

- Diagnosing faults using industry-leading diagnostic equipment

- Conducting safety inspections and compliance checks

- Maintaining accurate service and repair records

- Working closely with operational teams to keep freight moving safely

- Supporting and mentoring apprentices

- Contributing to the growth and success of our recent Yatala workshop

About You

- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology

- Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience

- Ability to work independently and confidently make decisions

- Current HR Licence (essential)

- Forklift Licence (advantageous)





- Experience with Volvo and Kenworth trucks highly regarded

- Strong communication and organisational skills

- Safety-focused with a commitment to quality workmanship

- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a team environment
