Smith St Medical Centre is growing and expanding, and seeking Casual Medical Receptionists to join our dynamic team in Charlestown, NSW. As a casual employee, you will provide essential administrative support to our medical practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

What you’ll be doing

- Greeting and welcoming patients, and managing patient inquiries and bookings
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Managing patient records, including updating medical histories and processing new patient registrations
- Assisting with medical billing and processing insurance claims
- Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
- Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service‑oriented role in the healthcare industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical staff and other stakeholders in a skilled and empathetic manner
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities,



with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other relevant computer applications
- A genuine interest in the medical field and a commitment to providing high‑quality patient care
