We’re seeking a 3rd year Apprentice Mechanical Fitter (Maintenance) to join Hypro Pet Foods at our site at Wilberforce NSW.

Hypro Pet Foods is a leading Australian manufacturer of premium pet food products, supplying trusted brands across Australia and internationally. Based in Wilberforce NSW, in the Hawkesbury region, we specialise in producing high-quality dry and wet pet food, including fresh meat digest and nutritional ingredients essential to pet health and palatability.

Within this role you will be responsible for maintenance across the site and production lines including preventative maintenance, planned maintenance, fault finding, diagnosing and repairs.

What you’ll do:

· Develop skills to perform mechanical repairs, & component refurbishment.

· Modifying equipment in accordance with technical specifications and work instructions.

· Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment

· Diagnosing faults and assisting with investigations of equipment failures.

· Interpret detailed drawings relating to complex equipment, measuring components utilising precision measuring tools.

· Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organised condition.

· Accurately compile routine reports, condition reports and correspondence relevant to jobs.





· Following secure work practices in the workshop and on-site

What you’ll bring:

. Driver's licence minimum P and own transport

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment

· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime

· Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure reliability and safety

· Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and modifications

· Collaborate with production teams to resolve mechanical issues

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts used

· Follow workplace health and safety standards at all times

Please note salary is negotiable and is commensurate with experience and shifts worked.
