About Insight DesignInsight Design is an established Perth creative agency specialising in branding, corporate reporting,websites, signage, exhibitions and strategic visual communications. As the business enters its nextphase of growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead day-to-day operationsand drive sustainable commercial growth on behalf of the Directors.
Role SummaryReporting to the Directors, the General Manager is responsible for the overall operational andcommercial performance of Insight Design. The role leads business development, clientrelationships, project delivery, team leadership and operational planning while ensuring exceptionalclient service, creative quality and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations• Lead the day-to-day operations of Insight Design.• Lead, mentor and develop the design team.• Manage recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews.• Drive continuous improvement across systems and workflows.• Follow all lawful directions and company policies established by the Directors
Client & Commercial Management• Lead client onboarding and maintain key client relationships.• Prepare proposals, quotations, Statements of Work and change requests.• Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts.• Manage supplier relationships and procurement approvals.• Support the transition of clients, suppliers, procedures and pricing templates.
Business Development• Develop new business through networking, referrals and prospecting.• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast.• Represent Insight Design at client meetings and industry events.• Promote and protect the interests of Insight Design.
Project Delivery• Own project planning, scheduling,



resourcing and capacity planning.• Brief and coordinate designers and external project partners.• Oversee quality assurance, delivery and scope management.• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Financial Management• Manage project profitability and commercial performance.• Monitor work in progress (WIP) and team utilisation.• Contribute to annual budgeting and operational planning.• Maintain pricing consistency and commercial discipline.• Support cash flow through scheduling, invoicing coordination and payment follow-up.
Reporting• Provide monthly reports covering revenue performance, pipeline, project status, risks, and clientsatisfaction, team utilisation and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Design Management or relateddiscipline.• 5–7 years' experience in agency management, operations, client services or commercialleadership.• Strong commercial acumen and business development skills.• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.• Australian experience within a creative, marketing, branding or professional services workplace.
