Metrowest Electrical & Communications Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Riggers / Supervisors to lead our Telecommunications Construction crews across Perth metro, regional WA and occasional interstate projects.
Based in Belmont, Metrowest is a well-established commercial contractor with a strong client base and steady project pipeline. We specialise in the construction and upgrading of telecommunications infrastructure, including tower builds, steelwork installation, antenna upgrades and structural remediation.
About the Role
These positions are suited to highly skilled riggers or riggers with proven experience supervising teams in complex construction environments. Supervisors will oversee day-to-day rigging operations, coordinate crew activities, ensure all works are completed safely and to specification, and mentor developing riggers within the team.
You must be confident working at height and capable of leading crews on structures up to 120 metres tall. The role includes hands-on rigging, planning lifts, coordinating subcontractors, and liaising closely with the Telecommunications Project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead rigging teams on telco tower construction and upgrade projects
- Oversee all lifting, steel installation and access works
- Ensure compliance with WHS standards and Metrowest procedures
- Conduct pre-start briefings, risk assessments and permit checks
- Mentor junior riggers and support crew development
- Coordinate with project management to meet program and quality requirements
- Assist with regional and occasional interstate works as required
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- High level of fitness and ability to work at height
- Current driver’s licence (HR advantageous)
- Ability to pass a Fit to Climb medical and drug and alcohol testing
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
