This heritage and stability offer team members a workplace grounded in strong values and long-term vision.Role Description The Maintenance Fitter is a full-time, on-site role based in Ballarat, VIC. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing plant machinery and equipment to support continuous and safe production operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical faults, carrying out fitting and assembly work, and ensuring timely repairs to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Fitter will work closely with production and engineering teams, follow safety procedures and documentation requirements,



and contribute to improvements in equipment reliability and performance. The role may also involve assisting with installation and commissioning of current machinery and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.Qualifications Strong plant maintenance skills, including experience with industrial equipment and production environments.Proficiency in preventive maintenance and maintenance & repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.Experience working with machinery, including fault-finding, mechanical adjustments, and component replacement.Competence in fitting, assembly, and alignment of mechanical parts and systems.Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Fitter and Turner, or equivalent).Solid understanding of workplace health and safety standards and ability to follow safe work practices.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment is highly regarded.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting.Willingness to work shift patterns, overtime, or weekends as required to support plant operations.
