The Client
Adio Desk Pty Ltd is an Australian provider of advanced telecommunications solutions, specialising in offering innovative and reliable telecommunications services.
They now seek a skilled and qualified Telecommunication Network Planner to join their team in Bendigo in VIC on a full time basis.
The Role
This is for five (5) full time positions with an annual salary between $79,500 to $88,000 depending on experience plus superannuation. The role will be based in Bendigo in VIC.
The Responsibilities
Develop detailed telecommunications network plans including fibre, copper and wireless topology layoutsConduct capacity forecasting and traffic modelling to ensure network scalability and performance optimisationDesign fibre optic routing plans including splice schematics, cable schedules and distribution architecturePerform radio frequency planning, propagation analysis and site configuration for wireless network deploymentsPrepare technical feasibility studies and cost estimation models for new infrastructure projectsLiaise with engineers, field technicians, contractors and local authorities to coordinate infrastructure rolloutAnalyse network performance data to identify congestion points and recommend optimisation strategiesEnsure network design compliance with ACMA regulations, Australian Standards and carrier specific requirementsDevelop GIS based mapping documentation and maintain accurate network asset recordsReview and validate contractor submissions, as built documentation and network acceptance reportsAssess risk factors including environmental,
zoning and technical constraints impacting network deploymentSupport commissioning and integration of new network segments into live environmentsPrepare technical reports, design documentation and stakeholder presentations for project approvalMonitor emerging telecommunications technologies and recommend upgrades to maintain competitive capability
The Requirements
At least a Diploma qualification in Telecommunications or a related fieldMinimum 1 year full time post qualification experience as a Telecommunications Network PlannerAt least 1 year experience in fibre optic network planning including route selection, splice planning and optical power budgetingMinimum 1 year experience conducting RF planning, coverage modelling and spectrum analysis for wireless deploymentsAt least 1 year experience using GIS platforms, AutoCAD, RF planning tools or equivalent network design softwareAt least 1 year experience ensuring compliance with ACMA regulations and carrier grade technical standardsMinimum 1 year experience preparing structured technical documentation, feasibility studies and cost modelling for telecommunications infrastructure projectsStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform on-site analysis and resolution of technical problemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with maintaining detailed logs and documentation of inventories, parts, equipment, and instruments, as well as communication policies and proceduresAbility to liaise effectively with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources to monitor contractual obligations and performance delivery
