About The Role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician / Workshop Assistant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role ideally suited to an experienced tradesperson, fitter, automotive technician, auto electrician, mechanical assembler, or workshop professional. If you have a keen eye for detail and take pride in producing precise and high-quality work in an organised and tidy manner, we want to hear from you.

Working within our manufacturing workshop, you will be involved in the assembly of advanced industrial solar trailer systems and associated equipment. The role includes:

Mechanical assembly and fitting of fabricated components and assembliesInstallation and mounting of equipment, hardware and accessoriesBasic electrical assembly and installation of extra-low-voltage automotive-style components and cablingUse of hand tools, power tools and measuring equipmentFollowing structured assembly procedures and quality requirementsMaintaining a safe, organised and effective work areaContributing to a high-quality fit, finish and presentation of finished products

About You

You may come from a manufacturing, mechanical,



automotive, fabrication or workshop background. You will enjoy practical, hands-on work and thrive working with a small team, and confident to work independently for periods of time.

Essential Criteria

Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, automotive or auto-electrical workshop environmentAbility to confidently use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipmentStrong attention to detail and pride in workmanshipAbility to follow documented procedures and assembly instructionsA commitment to workplace safety and quality standardsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamReliable, organised and self-motivated

Desirable Experience

Trade qualification or relevant industry experienceMechanical fitting, automotive fitting or auto-electrical experienceBasic lifting and rigging experienceForklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

Physical Requirements

This role involves:

Standing and working on your feet for extended periodsManual handling of components and assembliesBending, kneeling, reaching and working from low-level platformsLifting and positioning components safely in accordance with workshop procedures

Location: Emergent Group Manufacturing Facility - Mayfield West NSW 2304

Position type: Permanent and flexible - will consider part time and full time applicants
