Role opportunity
Access Training Centre (ATC) is one of South Australia's leading Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) delivering vocational education and training (VET) and seeking a passionate Instructional designer and Learning designer to develop and design the delivery of high quality and engaging VET programs.
Situated under the Information Technology and Systems team, you will work closely with our LMS Vendors, Trainers/Assessors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and our Resource Development team to transform existing paper based training into engaging digital learning experiences and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Course Development
- Design, develop and maintain high quality training and assessment e-learning curriculum, resources and materials aligned to: the Australian National Training Package system; High Risk work with WHS and State licensing regulators.
- Translate cutting edge content within paper based resources into structured, engaging e-learning experiences (training manuals, assessments and workbooks).
- Build and maintain ATC scope of courses within our state of the art Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ensure all e-learning deliveries, e-resources/materials are fully compliant, industry-relevant and aligned with adult learning principles.
- Conduct quality assurance checks for accuracy, consistency and usability.
Digital Learning & Resource Development
- Develop engaging digital e-learning assets, including presentations, guides, assessments and interactive content.
- Edit and produce multimedia content (video, audio, graphics) for VET training delivery.
- Optimise e-resources for usability, accessibility and learner engagement.
- Monitor LMS system performance and recommend improvements.
Compliance & Quality Frameworks
- Ensure all e-learning resources meet the 2025 RTO standards and licensing compliance requirements.
- Maintain version controls and documentation processes.
- Support audits and continuous improvement activities.
You will bring to the role:
- Experience in a RTO/TAFE VET environment.
- High level of experience with instructional design, VET student e-learning development and design with interactive blended and online training.
- Experience with Articulate Rise, Storyline, H5P, Adobe Captivate or similar authoring tools, SCORM, or other eLearning standards.
- Familiarity and experience with Learning Management Systems (VetTrak is desirable), including content creation capabilities.
- Ability to manage projects and deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
