About the role:
As Inventory Coordinator you are responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking stock movements. The role involves conducting audits, resolving discrepancies, and implementing inventory management strategies. The Inventory Coordinator works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including management, warehouse staff, customers, and suppliers, to maintain stock accuracy.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage inventory through the Warehouse Management System, recording deliveries and stock levels
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock counts, promptly investigating and resolving variances
- Perform audits across the supply chain function to ensure compliance to policy and report results
- Identify stock discrepancies and report, resolve and recommend strategies to address
- Develop,
maintain and control best practice inventory management and data integrity
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, movements and adjustments
- Manage customer stock takes, ensure warehouse is ready, discrepancies are reported and resolved
- Communicate with the operations team to follow up on storage variances and to resolve issues
- Ensure that a high standard of general housekeeping is maintained
- Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures
- Demonstrate high standards of service and professionalism in all interactions.
About you:
- 2+years’ experience in an Inventory role or a similar.
- Experience in the transport or FMCG / Retail industry desirable.
- Experience in inventory management systems and processes, analysis and reporting.
- Experience supporting an operations function in a constantly changing environment.
