We're on the lookout for an experienced HRC Manager to take the lead on the floor of our Hospitality & Retail Centre. This is a hands‑on role where you'll lead our café and retail operation on the floor, guide the team through busy services and ensure every guest experience reflects the quality Beerenberg is known for. You'll be the face of the venue on the floor and the leader the team looks to when service is in full swing. Working closely with the HRC Venue Manager, you'll own the day‑to‑day flow of service, lead and develop the team, manage rosters and labour, and make the calls that keep things humming when the rush hits.

Responsibilities

- Own the floor , leading the day‑to‑day café and retail operation, setting the tone for service and ensuring every shift runs smoothly, efficiently and to Beerenberg standards from open to close.
- Champion exceptional guest experiences , creating warm, memorable visits, resolving issues quickly and ensuring every interaction reflects and showcases the quality, values and heritage of the Beerenberg brand.
- Build a high‑performing team , providing clear direction, coaching, training and performance support while fostering a positive, collaborative culture that people genuinely want to be part of.
- Keep service flowing , managing labour, rostering and shift operations to deliver great guest experiences while keeping one eye on the budget and the other on the queue.
- Keep standards sky‑high , championing WHS, food safety and operational compliance to ensure the venue remains protected,



audit‑ready and running as smoothly as our famous Strawberry Jam.

Qualifications

- Experienced hospitality or retail leader with proven success leading teams, running shifts and delivering great guest experiences in a fast‑paced environment.
- People‑first manager, confident setting standards, providing coaching and feedback, and building a team that delivers great service even when the queue is long.
- Comfortable with all aspects of café and retail operations, including coffee, customer service and kitchen workflow.
- Organised, able to balance guest experience with labour, stock, costs and all the moving parts that keep a busy venue humming.
- Calm under pressure and quick on feet, making sound decisions and keeping service flowing when multiple streams of demand arise.
- Collaborative team player, happy working across retail, hospitality, marketing and kitchen teams to create seamless experiences for guests and a positive culture for the team.
- Qualified with a current RSA and Food Handling certificate, and a Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain one). Hospitality or Retail Management qualifications are a bonus, but hands‑on experience is just as valuable.
- Passion for hospitality, tourism and regional food experiences, with a genuine appreciation for creating memorable visitor experiences and everything that makes Beerenberg special.
