Our boutique, family-owned and much-loved childcare centre in Southport is looking for a Centre Director who is as strong as they are warm. Someone who leads with both heart and conviction, and who understands that the best early childhood environments are built on trust, joy, and exceptional people.

What you will need





- Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III in Early Education and Care ideally combined with additional qualifications in a leadership-related field

- Proven, substantial experience in a Centre Director or senior leadership role within ECEC

- Deep working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, NQS, and Queensland regulatory requirements

- Experience managing people — including the hard conversations, performance matters, and building genuine team culture

- Experience with, or deep respect for, Montessori principles and child-led learning philosophy

- Strong emotional intelligence and a genuine understanding of how EQ shapes both leadership and early learning outcomes

- Excellent written and spoken English — your documentation, communication, and correspondence must be exceptional

- A values-led approach and the personal maturity to lead from that place even when it is uncomfortable
