A 3-month temporary opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a WA Government organisation on a temporary contract. Working as part of a collaborative HR team, you will provide both operational and strategic human resources support across a range of people-related initiatives.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide expert HR advice and support while contributing to key workforce projects and organisational initiatives. Duties will include:
- Providing advice and support on a broad range of HR matters
- Assisting with employee relations and performance management matters
- Coordinating employee investigations conducted by external consultants
- Assisting with the development, reviewing and updating policies, procedures and templates
- Creating and reviewing HR templates and documentation, including Performance Improvement Plans
- Supporting audit activities and actioning outstanding compliance items
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and practices
- Supporting strategic HR projects as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a Senior HR Advisor or similar role
- Demonstrated experience working within the WA public sector
- Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policies and best practice principles
- Experience managing employee relations and performance management matters
- Strong policy and procedure development skills
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
