What You'll Be Working On
In this physically active role, you'll be responsible for the careful handling and movement of furniture products throughout our distribution centre. Your day will involve:
- Operating lift order picking equipment at heights of 8+ metres
- Manually receiving, dispatching and storing stock with proper care
- Processing incoming deliveries, checking documentation and ensuring accuracy
- Conducting pre-work safety checks on forklifts, order pickers and turret trucks
- Using RF scanning technology to maintain inventory accuracy
- Working across multiple teams and adapting to different tasks as needed
- Contributing to a safe working workplace through WH&S; compliance
You'll work in a fast-paced warehouse, handling a diverse range of furniture products including lounges, buffets, tables and chairs.
What Type of Person Will Succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- 2+ years experience of lift order platform picking in a high-volume warehouse (30+ team members)
- LF and LO licenses with experience in both are mandatory
- Comfortable working at heights of 8+ metres for extended periods
- Physically fit and capable of handling bulky, heavy furniture items
- Reliable and committed to working Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts
- Proficient with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems
- Adaptable and happy to work across different teams and tasks
