About ACHA Health Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) is South Australia's largest locally based private hospital group. Operating within a proud community-based, not-for-profit tradition, ACHA delivers a broad range of high-quality healthcare services across acute medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and obstetrics.

ACHA operates three leading hospital sites: Ashford Hospital Flinders Private Hospital

The Memorial Hospital With a history spanning more than 105 years and a workforce of approximately 2,500 employees, the organisation is widely recognised for its professionalism, compassion, and culture of continuous improvement. For the past 23 years, ACHA has operated under a management agreement with Healthscope, a national private hospital operator.

Under this arrangement, many corporate and administrative services, including People & Culture and payroll functions, have been provided centrally by Healthscope. ACHA has formally notified Healthscope of its intention to terminate the management agreement and transition to an independent operating model. As part of this transition, ACHA will assume full responsibility for all corporate and operational functions, including People & Culture, payroll, finance, information technology, procurement, and other shared services, establishing the capabilities required to operate as a fully independent healthcare organisation.

About the role You will oversee a complex payroll for over 2,500 staff. Additionally, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a new Workday Payroll and UKG Time & Attendance rollout.





About you We are looking for an experienced payroll leader who is service-focused in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise should include:

Complex Payroll & EAs: Deep technical knowledge of shift-work calculations and navigating highly complex agreements. System Implementations: Demonstrated experience with Workday and UKG is highly desirable. Compliance & Reporting: A solid grasp of statutory reporting, including WGEA, STP Phase 2.

Leadership: The ability to mentor, train, and lead a tight-knit internal team. Salary Sacrifice: Understanding of salary sacrifice arrangements including working with a third party salary packaging provider Culture
