About The Role

In this role you will be responsible for supporting a maintenance team with effective leadership, planning and resources to achieve zero harm, safe systems of work, quality, performance, financial objectives and operational targets, within budget, to targets of availability and reliability and to manufacturer’s specification.

Key Responsibilities Include

Ensure effective resource allocation (such as people, equipment, and resources) to meet maintenance work targets and schedulesDefine performance expectations for Maintenance personnel and monitor performance Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely mannerReview plant performance (in terms of availability, breakdowns and backlog)



and ensure remedial or preventative action is taken as necessaryEnsure compliance with the required Project Management Plans (PMP)Monitor work of subcontractors to ensure that they implement the requirements of the Integrated Management System (IMS)Prepare and monitor budgets and track expenditureLiaise with the wider leadership team to ensure plant availability needed to optimise production levels

About You

Trade qualification, plus further tertiary study and significant experience in the management of mobile and fixed mining equipment maintenance.Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviourEffective people management and development experience and skillsStrong organisational, communication and planning skillsDemonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour

Goonyella

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.

BUMA Australia provides labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
