About the role

Freight Mart International is seeking a reliable and experienced Day Shift Truck Driver to join our growing team based in Bibra Lake, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight across our service region. As a Day Shift Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is essential to our operations and directly contributes to our reputation for reliable service delivery in the road transport sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies

2. Transport freight to designated locations within scheduled timeframes

3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or damage

4. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks in compliance with regulatory requirements

5. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations

6. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and tidiness both inside and out

What we're looking for

1. A current, HC or MC licence as a minimum requirement

2. Proven experience as a truck driver in the road transport industry

3. A clean driving record and demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices

4. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and the ability to identify mechanical issues

5. Strong time management and organisational skills to meet delivery schedules

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

7.



Physical fitness and ability to safely secure and transport freight

8. Experience in both general and containerised freight, or a willingness to learn both avenues
