We're looking for a Finance Officer to join our team for approx. 6 months. This role is being offered either as a full-time or part-time role.

Your duties and responsibilities:

- Daily processing of AP invoices for multiple business units.

- Weekly processing of supplier payments via EFT and BPAY.

- Reconciling creditor statements monthly.

- Reviewing open purchase orders and reconciling goods received not invoiced monthly.

- Onboarding of new suppliers into finance system.

- Distributing and processing of monthly credit card transactions of all cardholders.

- Completing vendor forms and sending annual insurance certificates of currency.

- Timely processing of receipts and allocation to debtor accounts.

- Timely processing of invoice adjustments, rounding adjustments, credit notes, and refunds.

- Debtor account reconciliations.

- Processing of daily bank reconciliations.

- Timely issuing of debtor statements.

- Maintaining, monitoring, and distributing aged debtor report listings.

- Understanding of State and Federal Funding relating to the electrical industry.

- Processing and allocating funding via credit notes.

- Assist with annual audit and compliance of various funding.

- Updating and maintaining fixed asset registers.

- Monthly reconciliation of fixed asset registers.

- Preparing accrued expense journal for month end

- Reconciling and maintaining prepayments register.

- Assisting Senior Financial Accountant with journal entries.

- Assisting Senior Financial Accountant with General Ledger reconciliations as required

- Maintaining FBT schedules as required.

- Processing monthly BAS/GST returns as required.

What you'll need to succeed:

Essential:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

- Experience and competency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Experience in various accounting software.

- Experience with fixed asset registers and Business Activity Statements lodgements.





- Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and achieve objectives.

- Well-developed organisational and time management skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Desirable:

- Experience with Greentree & Business Central accounting software.
