About the role

Aspire Finishes Painting and Decorating is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team on a casual basis, full time for the right candidate. Based in Baldivis, WA 6171, this position offers the flexibility of casual work whilst contributing to a variety of painting and decorating projects. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality finishes and exceptional customer satisfaction across residential and commercial properties.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming walls, ceilings and woodwork to ensure optimal paint adhesion

2. Applying paint, varnish, stain and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other appropriate tools

3. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and cleaning work areas thoroughly upon completion

4. Following health and safety protocols and industry best practices on all job sites

5. Liaising with clients and supervisors to ensure project requirements are met and timescales are adhered to

6. Identifying potential issues with surfaces or structures and reporting them to management

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator, ideally within residential or commercial settings

2. Proficiency with a wide range of painting and decorating tools and techniques

3. Knowledge of surface preparation methods and appropriate finishing products for different substrates

4. Ability to work accurately and maintain high standards of finish in all weather conditions

5. Strong attention to detail and colour matching capabilities

6. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, including on ladders and scaffolding

7.



Excellent time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

8. Current driving licence and reliable transport

9. Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one is for commercial work

10. A portfolio or references demonstrating previous work quality
