About the Role

Argyle Group Training & Recruitment is a 100% Aboriginal female owned company. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This unique role combines recruitment, workforce management, and field-based support, working closely with employers, apprentices, trainees, and host organisations, with a focus on the civil construction sector, Aboriginal Peoples and Women.

The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of civil construction, workforce development, and GTO (Group Training Organisation) apprentice and traineeship programs. You will be responsible for sourcing and placing candidates and host employers, supporting apprentices and trainees throughout their employment journey, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- End to end recruitment, including: Source, screen, interview, and place apprentices, trainees, and skilled workers. Conduct reference checks, onboarding, and pre-employment assessments

- Develop and maintain relationships with civil construction companies and host employers.

- Actively promote apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities within the community.

- Conduct regular site visits to host employers and apprentices/trainees, monitoring workplace performance, attendance, safety, and wellbeing.

- Ensure compliance with training contracts, workplace legislation, and GTO requirements.

- Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), employers, and government agencies.

- Complete accurate documentation, reports, and case notes.

- Build strong relationships with employers, schools, training providers,



and industry groups.

- Support employer engagement initiatives and industry events.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in recruitment, labour hire, workforce development, apprenticeships and traineeships, preferably within a GTO environment or a similar field-based role.

- Robust knowledge of the civil construction industry. (particularly Olympic Dam)

- Understanding of Australian employment and workplace health and safety requirements.

- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.

- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload.

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel and attend after hours events.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Background in civil construction, infrastructure, earthmoving, or related industries.

- Experience as a Field Officer, Employment Consultant, Apprenticeship Consultant, or Recruitment Consultant.

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Human Resources, Employment Services, or related field (desirable).

- Knowledge of traineeship and apprenticeship funding programs and compliance requirements.
