· 6 months duration - $50-$55 per hour plus superannuation

· Monday to Friday (Flexi hours between 7am - 5pm)
About the Client
Our client is the government authority responsible for the planning, management, operation, and maintenance of the state's major road network. Our client also oversees the delivery of road infrastructure projects, promotes safe and efficient transport, and works with local governments and other stakeholders to support the movement of people and freight across the state.
About the Position
The position provides drafting and technical support for bridge and structural engineering activities, ensuring drawings, models, and documentation meet our client's standards and quality requirements. The role contributes to the development and maintenance of bridge drafting resources, including the review of consultant submissions, preparation of standard drawings, and management of technical information to support effective delivery of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Review bridge and structural drawings prepared by consultants to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with our client's drafting standards.
· Provide technical drafting support using AutoCAD and related software to prepare and update standard drawings.
· Coordinate the publication of new and revised technical guidelines on the intranet and external website.
· Maintain and manage the storage, organisation, and retrieval of bridge design models and plans.
· Support the delivery of bridge and structural drafting services by ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and accessible.
Experience Required
· Demonstrated experience in structural drafting, including the preparation, review, and modification of bridge and structural drawings.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software, with the ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
· Experience interpreting engineering drawings, design models, specifications, and technical standards.
· Knowledge and understanding of bridge drafting standards, processes, and quality requirements.
· Experience undertaking detailed reviews of drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Ability to manage, organise, and maintain design documentation, models, and project records.
· Experience working collaboratively with engineers, consultants, and technical stakeholders to support project delivery.
