At the City of Armadale, we’re transforming how we manage information and we’re looking for a passionate, future-focused Information Management Lead to guide this evolution.

You’ll play a pivotal role in uplifting capability across the organisation, embedding strong recordkeeping, and ensuring our information assets are secure, accessible and future-ready.
About the Role
As the Information Management Lead, you’ll shape how the City manages, protects and uses its information. You will:
- Lead and improve the City’s information and records management function, ensuring modern, compliant and user-friendly practices.
- Maintain and enhance Information Management systems to strengthen data integrity, accessibility and strategic value.
- Drive system upgrades and integrations that improve automation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the full records lifecycle, embedding best practice in digital preservation, secure storage and controlled access.
- Produce reporting and analytics that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
- Build capability across the City, delivering training, guidance and change support to uplift recordkeeping confidence.
- Provide expert advice on recordkeeping, privacy, compliance and information governance.
- Lead a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and fostering accountability, innovation and customer-focused service.
- Manage budgets, procurement and governance requirements to ensure cost-effective and complaint Information Management outcomes.
About You
You’re an experienced information management professional who brings:
- A Diploma in information management, business administration or related field,
or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years’ experience in records/information management, including system design, implementation or upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of legislative frameworks governing information management.
- Proven ability to lead organisational change in recordkeeping and data governance.
- Experience in compliance monitoring, auditing and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Certificate.
